How to Make a basic TAS in Super Mario 64

Dec 9, 2010 10:14 PM

A TAS, in case you're outside too much to have heard of them before, is a tool-assisted speedrun. Basically you take a video game ROM and use some software like [http://rapidshare.com/#!download|240tl3|137149105|mupen64_0.5_with_rerecording_and_TAS_input_plugin.rar|5699 Mupen 64] to control the game's many parameters on a previously unattainable level. This allows for perfect manipulation of glitches and timing, and thus for much faster completions of the game than are possible unaided. This video will teach you the basics of making a TAS, so if you're into creating some very modern art with your games and computer programming skills hop to it!

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
